Mid Sussex District Council has confirmed that it is committed to considering community approaches for the future of Clair Hall. The Council has requested that such proposals are submitted to them by a revised date of 27 November 2023. We are delighted to report that the Save Clair Hall Campaign Group will be submitting a comprehensive proposal by this date, to complement the outline proposal which it sent to the Council on the 8 September 2023. The Group’s plans for a vibrant and sustainable Clair Hall include a theatre, cinema, studio and exhibition spaces, function rooms and a cafe and bar area. A community charitable organisation would be formed, and this would employ a professional team to manage the refurbishment and to operate Clair Hall.The Group is looking forward to discussing this exciting proposal with the Council.
